BALI IMMERSION 2019: YOGA & BODYWORK

I will be holding an immersion on the beautiful island of Bali from 25 May to 2nd June at a  private villa 30 mins away from Ubud. If you have experienced private sessions with me and want to go a little deeper, then this 7 day retreat will be ideal. You will receive two yoga classes per day, one healing session with me (additional massage from local bodyworkers on demand), water ceremonies,  group work and guided meditation. My intention is to create a powerful container for us to look more deeply into the body and explore our multidimensionality.

Places are limited as I intend to work with a small group. Early bird price is £1950, which will go up to £2200 on November 1 2018. This price includes all food, group activities, excursions, private work with me, yoga etc. The only thing that isn’t included in the price is your travel. This will be special 🙂  For more information and to learn how this immersion will benefit you, please email melissa@touchenergetics.co.uk

SEVEN STEPS TO BETTER SLEEP

Screenshot 2014-11-10 19.15.07My latest contribution to Mr Porter is now live! To read the full feature, click here.

Whichever way the precarious life-work scales tip, it’s sleep that always seems to get the boot. We are designed to spend a third of our lives sleeping and yet 43% of the American workforce say they “rarely or never” get a good night’s sleep on weeknights. Thirty per cent of Brits claim they are sleep deprived or verging on insomnia, which suggests that some 19 million of us are not getting to sleep, or, if we are, we’re certainly not staying that way for long. AWAKE: THE YOGANANDA MOVIE

awake_main_image

I can’t wait to see this documentary about Hindu mystic Paramahansa Yogananda, one of the men responsible for bringing yoga to the West. If you haven’t read his story in Autobiography of a Yogi , then get your copy now. It’s one of the most life-affirming and spiritually rich books of the twentieth century. Essential reading – even for the non-yogis!

AUTUMN YOGA RETREAT THIS NOVEMBER!

AUTUMN LIGHTI’d like to introduce you to a very dear friend of mine. Laura Smail is a highly skilled yoga teacher and she is hosting an Autumn Weekend Retreat from the 14th to the 16th of November in a beautiful Georgian house near the South Downs. Laura’s classes are deeply restorative, combining elements of Hatha, flow and mindfulness based meditation.

Since Autumn is the time to harvest and plan for the future, she’ll be offering an optional ‘manifestation workshop’ to participants. I will be guiding the group meditations during this special weekend. To find out more, click here or email Laura directly to reserve your place. I know many of you have a solid yoga practice but do note that this retreat will be suitable for practitioners of all levels.

The cost is £265 per person and this includes 4 yoga classes, 6 meals, station pick ups and accommodation for two people sharing. Each of the bedrooms have plenty of character and views over either the Sussex Weald or Downs.

FINE TUNE YOUR BODY FOR FALL

mrp

My contribution to this month’s edition of Mr Porter is about how to transition from Summer to Autumn. To read the full story, click on the image above…

The change of seasons has long been known to affect the animal kingdom. The Arctic fox, sly and fashion-conscious creature that he is, changes the colour of his coat to match his backdrop (white for snowy winter, a dusky brown for summer). The poor Siberian hamster, which only mates in spring and summer, sees its testicles shrink as the days get shorter. The change of light signals a series of hormonal changes that make the little guy look like a completely different animal by the time fall has set in. Some animals hibernate; others come to life – all have an internal understanding of time. Read More
